At age 24, Lily faced a bright future filled with dreams of pursuing a career as an art teacher, traveling the world, and starting a family with the love of her life. She was happy, healthy, and full of optimism. However, a single visit to the eye specialist altered the course of her life. The diagnosis of an incurable eye disease that was gradually taking her vision, the very essence of what she treasured most, left her shattered. As the world around her started to lose its beauty, she was faced with the prospect of a future veiled in darkness. Despite the devastation, Lily made a pivotal decision in that life-changing moment: she chose to get up, she chose hope, courage, and to live a wonderful life, chasing her dreams beyond boundaries.

Today, she not only shines as a nationally competing para-athlete but also embraces the joys of motherhood, all while gracefully navigating the challenges of being legally blind. She has enjoyed a career in advocacy and supporting others with vision impairment, leveraging her teaching background to empower and inspire.
